Thomas Heyrick (d. 1694)
Miscellany poems
Cambridge: printed by John Hayes for the author, 1691
Thomas Heyrick was a near contemporary of Moore’s in Market Harborough, where they both attended the grammar school, and at Cambridge (Moore at Clare Hall, Heyrick at Peterhouse). The poem shown here was included in a modern selection of poems on animals, the first volume dedicated to Heyrick since the original 1691 collection, also within this exhibition theme.
