Book of Hours of Alice de Reydon

This illustrated prayer book in Latin with French prayers was produced and used in the east of England, probably near Lincoln, and then later in East Anglia. In addition to the full-page miniatures at the beginning, the calendar is decorated with signs of the zodiac and occupations of the months. The book probably belonged to Alice de Reydon, an East Anglian noblewoman, whose death is recorded in the calendar on 5 July.
