John Moore (1646–1714)
Sermons on several subjects
London: W. Taylor, T. Caldecot and J. Hooke, 1715
Given the length of his career within the Church, and the prestigious posts he held within it, Moore’s surviving published output of sermons is surprisingly small. This sermon given at Holborn on departing the parish in 1691, published posthumously by Moore’s chaplain Samuel Clarke, is relatively short, merely 26 sides, and expresses his affection for his parishioners in what appear to be genuinely meant words.
