Horae (Use of Paris) (in Latin and French)
University Library, MS Add. 4088, f. 13r
France, Paris (?), last quarter of the fourteenth century
Vellum, 117 x 81 mm (76 x 41 mm), 194 ff.
(Binski Zutshi 333)
Purchased by Samuel Sandars in 1883, this manuscript was subsequently donated to the University Library in 1894. One section, ff. 189–203v, contains prayers that are mainly in French, and this section might have been added later. The mention of ‘Corentin’ in the Litany might indicate a patron from the diocese of Quimper, in Brittany.
