Biblical scenes and episodes from the lives of the Saints predominate in this Book of Hours, with some of the miniatures stretching to the length of three-quarters of the folio. The manuscript once belonged to the Gontier family from Dijon (1531(?) –1650) and was bequeathed to the University Library in 1894 by Samuel Sandars.
