Kathleen Goligher

MS SPR 54/5 p. 9
By kind permission of the Society for Psychical Research

The Goligher family held séances in their home in Belfast in the 1920s. Investigations into the phenomena were carried out by an engineer, William Crawford. He claimed that Kathleen, one of the daughters, was able to produce ‘psychic rods’ of ectoplasm powerful enough to levitate a table. This photograph, taken by Crawford, shows Kathleen exuding ectoplasm. A spirit trumpet stands in attendance.
